Your Most Important Relationship
I am as lovey-dovey as it gets around this time of year. I love the holiday-induced excuse to express appreciation and admiration for my husband, family and friends. But this is also an important time to nurture your trickiest and most important relationship…the one with yourself!
Food is crucial to that relationship. Taking an honest and loving approach to the food you cook and eat and share is a key element of taking care of yourself. Be patient and kind and really pay attention when you’re eating and cooking. And, as always, never beat yourself up for enjoying a treat!

Molly’s Love Bites
makes about 45 bite
1 1/4 cups rolled oats
3/4 cup chopped pitted dates
1/2 cup chopped dried apricots
1/2 cup almond butter
1 tablespoon sesame seeds
1 teaspoon rose water
1/4 teaspoon ground cardamom
2 (3.5-oz) bars dark chocolate, melted
45 gogi berries
Place oats, dates, apricots, almond butter, sesame seeds, rose water and cardamom in a food processor and process until very finely chopped. While the motor is running, drizzle in 2 to 3 tablespoons of hot water, so that the mixture comes into a ball. Using a teaspoon, scoop out a generous spoonful of the mixture. Roll into a ball, pressing firmly so that it sticks together. Dip into melted chocolate and stir to coat, and then lift out of chocolate with a fork, shaking off excess chocolate. Arrange on a parchment-paper-lined baking sheet. Press 1 gogi berry onto the top of the bite. Continue with remaining bites and chocolate. Chill bites until ready to serve. Refrigerate in an airtight container for up to 5 days or freeze for up to 1 week.
